On-campus health services

Student Health Center (Danforth Campus)

The WashU Student Health Center provides care to all students enrolled on the Danforth Campus. Some of their services include:

  • Emergency services
  • Preventative care
  • Psychiatry
  • Laboratory & radiology

Student Health Services (Medical Campus)

WashU Student Health Services provides care to all students enrolled on the Medical Campus. Some of their services include:

  • Primary care
  • Lab work
  • Counseling & psychological services
  • Urgent care

Mental health treatment and support through therapy, consultation, programming and crisis response


On-campus gyms

Sumers Recreation Center (Danforth Campus)

The Sumers Rec facility features sports courts, swimming pools, a running track, cycling and yoga studios, and more. WashU Rec also offers intramural and club sports, and off-campus adventures like state park hikes, pickleball and paintball games, and ski and snowboard trips.

Memberships are available to all students and their spouses/partners. Most students have automatic access and can learn more at the link below.

818 Fitness (Medical Campus)

Located on the first floor of the CORE Apartment residences on the south end of campus, 818 Fitness is available 24/7 at no cost, exclusively for students of the School of Medicine.

It features cardio and weight equipment and a group exercise room.

The official resource for students at WashU who have disabilities or suspected disabilities. 

Zenker Wellness Suite

Located within Sumers Rec (Room 303), the wellness suite functions as a hub for health promotion, featuring resources and programming on key health topics for all students on the Danforth Campus.

Health Promotion

The division’s Health Promotion office works to create a campus culture in which health and well-being are intentionally embedded throughout campus.

The Gender Equity and Title IX Compliance Office (GETIXCO) is committed to responding to discrimination—including sexual harassment and sexual violence—in an effective, timely and transparent manner, where students are supported, treated fairly and respectfully, and given the appropriate tools to navigate the Title IX process.
